The following has been stated: -

•The Government of Tripura's Revenue Department outlines the process for obtaining an Amateur Station Operator Certificate (ASOC) under the Telecommunications (Amateur Services) Rules, 2024, which allows Indian citizens aged 12 and older to set up personal amateur radio stations. 

•Applicants can opt for General or Restricted grades by passing an examination to demonstrate essential technical knowledge and regulatory compliance. 

•The document specifies exam fees (₹100 for one grade, ₹200 for both) and license fees (₹1,000 for 20 years, ₹2,000 for lifetime validity) payable via the Bharatkosh portal. 

•The step-by-step application workflow requires submitting attested identity and nationality documents, downloading and uploading signed applications on the Saral Sanchar portal, taking the exam upon admit card issuance, and requesting a Call Sign post-qualification.
